Production methodprocess of DL-Malic acid powder
DL-Malic acid powder can be produced by catalytic addition of water to transbutylene succinic acid or cisbutylene succinic acid by high temperature and high pressure.
Dissolve transbutylene succinic acid in distilled water, preheat to 50°C and add into the high pressure reactor. It was heated to 180-199 °C with a pressure of about 1 MPa, and the reaction was pressed out after cooling down to below 100 °C after 8 h of reaction. Concentrate under vacuum at 60°C and precipitate crystals. Then cooled, dehydrated and dried to obtain DL-Malic acid CAS 617-48-1. 88% yield.
