Robensilon hydrochloride is mainly used to prevent and control coccidiosis in poultry (broilers, turkeys, etc.), especially for Eimeria tenella, Eimeria giant, Eimeria toxicophila and other Eimeria species. It is usually added to feed in the form of premixes. The mechanism of action of Robensilon hydrochloride is not yet fully understood, but it is generally believed that it works mainly by interfering with the energy metabolism and respiratory process of coccidia. It may inhibit the function of coccidia mitochondria, thereby blocking their energy production and causing death.
