Production methodprocess of Sodium benzoate powder

Neutralise benzoic acid with 32% soda ash solution in a neutralisation pot to a Ph value of 7.5, the neutralisation temperature is controlled at 70°C. The neutralisation solution is made with 0.3% soda ash solution. The neutralised solution is decolourised with 0.3% activated carbon and filtered by vacuum suction, the filtrate is concentrated and dried to form Sodium benzoate powder.

Add water and sodium bicarbonate into the neutralisation pot, heat to boiling and dissolve into sodium bicarbonate solution.
