    Translucent, crumpled, faintly glossy flakes or white to yellowish powder, odorless and slightly algal. κ-carrageenan and ε-carrageenan are soluble in hot water, λ-carrageenan is soluble in water, but they are not soluble in organic solvents. Dry carrageenan is very stable and does not hydrolyze even when heated in neutral and alkaline solutions, but hydrolysis easily occurs in acidic solutions below Ph 4.

Or pour the filtered filtrate into isopropyl alcohol, dissolve carrageenan under stirring, and then centrifuge separation, drying and crushing to produce the finished product.
